Trustees
In law, members of a company must be persons, hence our memorandum and articles permit up to three named Trustees to be named act on behalf of each member club. Clubs should ensure their list of trustees is current by checking the Trustee Register, and contacting us with a query, or downloading and completing the relevant form.
Any club may apply for Membership of the Scottish Hockey Union Limited, and apply to register up to three Trustees to represent them. An application from Trustees will be accepted if the Directors are satisfied that he or she is acting as a Trustee for a Club which supports the objectives of the Union and has a Constitution acceptable to the Directors.
Trustees are the only members who have voting rights at Scottish Hockey Union Ltd AGMs and EGMs. In the case where two, or three trustees for one club have been confirmed, the most senior ["number one"] Trustee will carry the vote for that member club. Each member club is eligible to one vote only.
If your clubs needs to change trustees, please download the Change of Trustee Form, and complete and return it signed to the Scottish Hockey Union offices with a copy of your current club constitution, or Memorandum and Articles if your Club is a limited Company.
