UNDER 16 GIRLS V WALES IN WREXHAM
Scotland`s under 16 girls won the three test match series against Wales, but only on goal difference after losing 3-1 today to their hosts in a much more even contest. Watsonian`s Claire Hill got Scotland`s only goal.
UNDER 16 BOYS - HDM TOURNAMENT IN DEN HAAG (NED)
Sixth place was a real achievement as Scotland`s under 16s finished a final day with three wins against under 18 opposition. In the first encounter against Almere from Holland, goals from Andrew Duff, Joe McConnell and Grange`s Hamish Imrie sealed a 3-1 win. Against the Swiss under 18 side the Scots again triumphed, Duff again while CALA Edinburgh`s Patrick Christie and Lewis Fraser got the other goals.
The Scots completed a final game against fellow Scots Aberdeen Grammar School with a comfortable 6-0 victory, Adam Lloyd, Callum Boag, Murray Collins and Hamish Imrie scored in the first half, then Alex Morrison and Connor Bain were on target after the interval.
UNDER 18 BOYS V WALES IN WREXHAM
Scotland ended their losing streak in the series against Wales with a 1-1 in the final match. This was a much improved performance by the Scots youngsters whose goal was scored by Inverleith`s Tom Barton.
UNDER 16 DEVELOPMENT SQUAD V WALES IN WREXHAM
The Scots youngsters won the three test match series against Wales with a 4-2 victory in the final game. CALA Edinburgh`s Cameron Good opened the scoring in only four minutes after good build-up work from Joe Waterston, Charlie Mearns and Ross Buchanan. Although the Welsh equalised, the Scots reached the interval 3-1 up with a double strike from Glenalmond`s Rory Pritchard.
In the second half Wales pulled the score back to 3-2, but the win was sealed with a final strike by Strathallan`s Ross Drummond
