Scottish Hockey announces new National Primary Festival Sponsor
31 January 2012
Scottish Hockey is proud to announce a new partnership with NASUWT, the largest teaching union in the UK, to be title sponsor of the National Primary Festival (NPF).
The event, branded as the 'NASUWT National Primary Festival', is held every year at the National Hockey Academy, Peferrmill in Edinburgh.
It brings together young hockey players from throughout Scotland, including those as far afield as Shetland, to play in a fun yet competitive environment.
Robert Heatly, Scottish Hockey Chief Executive said:
"We're delighted that the NASUWT are supporting the National Primary Festival for the next three years. This will allow us to fund local authorities in running hockey festivals for primary schools in their area, as well as contributing to travel costs for Festival at Peffermill in June."
The event has been running for the past five years and involves over 300 children with a range of abilities.
