Results on the Scottish Hockey website

Scottish Hockey has contacted Team Contacts regularly to share instructions on updating results, and to resolve any issues that have been faced while adapting to a new system. To offer clarity to the wider hockey community we would like to share this information publicly.

Clubs update their results after each game on our Competitions Module (CORE) so that results appear on the Scottish Hockey website.

Each team assigns a Team Contact who accesses CORE and updates the result after each match, as well as fixture times and venue information before each match. Both teams in each match are required to enter the same result for it to appear on the website to ensure the correct score is published.

The process of clubs updating results has been in place for many years, the difference this season is that results are now entered on CORE rather than an external system.

We have the capacity to see which teams have entered a result for their match. Last weekend 60% of clubs updated their result on CORE, this has since risen to around 70%. There was only one game at the weekend where neither team entered a result.

We’ve been contacting the teams who didn’t enter their result to offer support to ensure that they enter their results promptly after each game.

We would like to highlight the importance that Team Contacts update their team’s score by the evening of their match day to ensure that all interested parties including players, coaches, fans and members of the press are kept informed of latest results.

For example, if your team is playing on Saturday afternoon please ensure you have input the result on CORE by Saturday evening.

It is equally important to input the correct fixture time and venue before each match so that people can attend the game, and members of the press can effectively preview and report on matches.

Instructions on how to update results, times and venues can be found HERE.
