Forsyth and Grassick named in GB squad for Germany
Alan Forsyth and Chris Grassick have been named in the Great Britain (GB) men’s squad which will travel to Germany for three Test matches.
Coach Bobby Crutchley has named 24 athletes who will travel to Mannheim to contest the three matches between 13 and 16 November 2017.
Last time out Great Britain were gold medal winners at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia beating Australia in the final in May. Scotland internationalist Alan Forsyth was on fine goal scoring form during the tournament.
It also sees a welcomed return for Chris Grassick as he continues his comeback from injury. A key player for Scotland in the men’s squad triumph at EuroHockey Championship II, the Blue Sticks’ captain is back in GB colours heading out to Germany.
One of Great Britain’s three captains, Ian Sloan, will miss the trip through injury as will Jonty Griffiths and Michael Hoare.
