Kelly Pryde-Fillingham appointed Scotland under 16 Girls Head Coach

Scottish Hockey is delighted to announce the appointment of Kelly Pryde-Fillingham as Head Coach for the Scotland under 16 Girls’ programme on a two year contract.

Kelly is no stranger to Scottish Hockey having coached the Scotland over 50s Women to a Masters World Cup 4th place finish in the summer.

Scottish Hockey’s Head of Performance Andy Tennant said “We are delighted to have Kelly on board with our under 16 girls’ programme. We had some excellent feedback on Kelly from our masters’ community and from GB Hockey on her day-to-day work with young athletes south of the border.

“Kelly is a progressive young coach whose philosophy aligns with the vision we have for coaching in our talent pathway – and we are looking forward to her getting stuck in with the new intake of young female athletes to our national programmes.”

The incoming Head Coach is currently on the GB Hockey Advanced Coach Programme and is actively involved in a number of coaching programmes in the North of England.  Pryde-Fillingham said, “I am incredibly proud to be appointed Head Coach for the under 16s Girls’ Programme and can’t wait to get going with the squad. I’m hugely passionate about development and creating environments for young players to thrive and I’m looking forward to continuing to work within the exciting landscape of Scottish Hockey.”

The under 16 programme will commence early in the new year, following the completion of the assessment and selection process, which is currently underway.
