Can I play for Scotland?

 

To be eligible for selection into one of Scotland's national squads an athlete shall:

1) be affiliated through a Club, Youth Club, hold an individual 
    membership to Scottish Hockey or be a pupil attending an affiliated 
    school

2) hold, or be eligible to hold, a British passport; and
        i)     have been born in Scotland; or
        ii)    have been resident in Scotland for 3 years prior to 
               selection; or
        iii)   have one or both parents who were born in Scotland; or
        iv)   be married to a Scot as defined in (i) or (iii)
Note: A player to whom (ii) applies remains qualified notwithstanding a change in Residence or Club.

3) have not played for another international team in an FIH 
    competition during the last 3 years other than GB

4) At U16 and U18 level evidence of residence in Scotland will be
    accepted in lieu of a British passport


To be eligible to play for Great Britain an athlete must:

1) be affiliated through a National Association

2) hold, or be eligible to hold, a British passport

3) have not played for an international team except GB, Scotland,
    England or Wales in a FIH competition during the last 3 years
