When you are not playing hockey for Scotland, what is your occupation?
I am an Engineering Programmer for Howden in Renfrew.
What is the hardest thing about your training programme?
Trying to get time off work for competitions and fitting all your international sessions in with your club sessions.
What is the strangest thing you keep in your stick bag?
I always make sure I have either some chocolate or sweets just in case I need a boost before a game.
What is the most amusing thing that you have seen on a hockey pitch?
I have seen somebody streak at the women’s cup final a few years ago, which was pretty funny!
What are you reading lately?
To be honest don't really read that much. The last few books I read were all of Dan Browns. I like mystery type books.
Dogs or Cats?
Dogs. Used to have a dog. Liked playing with him but not cleaning or taking him for walks. Luckily for me my mum and dad did all that stuff!
If you were stranded on a desert island, what 5 things would you take?
1. Lap top
2. Golf clubs
3. TV
4. My house
5. Chef
When did you start playing hockey and what was it that drove you to play for your country?
I started playing hockey when I was four at Kelburne's Jockey Hockey on Saturday mornings. I couldn't wait to go every week. I wanted to play for Scotland so that I could play against some of the best players in the world and see how I would cope with it.
The highlight of my international career so far is drawing against Pakistan who are one of the best teams in the World and club wise playing in the European 'A' Divison with Kelburne last year.
