YOUTH PANEL

Scottish Hockey's Youth Panel is an excellent opportunity for young adults to volunteer and engage with the development of the sport and put their ideas into practice.

The aim of the Youth Panel is to encourage more young adults to participate in hockey and grow their skill sets in leadership, organisation, communication and project management.

As a member of the Youth Panel, your role will be to actively work on a seasonal project aimed at the development of hockey. You will work together with other members to help deliver an event in Scottish Hockey's calendar.

Each member will be supported by Scottish Hockey staff members and a network of volunteers, who will mentor and train you as part of your Personal Development Plan.

Formal certificates will be awarded to recognise and reward your work, as well as being put forward for the FIH Youth Leadership Certificate. Additional opportunities may also arise, such as working with FIH Youth Panel, or within projects in Scotland.

Joining is simple. Anyone aged between 16 and 21 years old can participate and who wishes to take a more active role in hockey. In return, we ask you to attend four Youth Panel meetings per year.
