TEACHING IN-SERVICE
Two national teacher in-service days are held during the year for registered Schools and Youth Clubs. These sessions offer support and resoruces for teachers and coaches involved in delivery of hockey for children and young adults.
These are normally at the start of each calendar year and then in September, focussing on various topical areas of hockey development.
There are other types of in-service training and support available too. These can be organised locally on demand by Schools or Local Authorities for Continual Professional Development in their teaching staff or volunteer programmes.
Technical Updates
These are for Primary or Secondary School Teachers to learn more about the skills and rules of hockey. They typically last 1hr 30mins - 2hrs.
STIX in-service

The training introduces our STIX model and highlights progressive skills sessions and games structures for varying age groups and ability levels. Sessions last between 2-3 hours.
Standard Grade or Higher Still
This training will focus on various elements related to the above qualifications for Secondary School Teachers. Sessions last from 1 hr 30mins - 3 hours.
