Caledonian Cougars U15 Boys 0-8 Wessex Leopards U15 Boys

It was a tough opening match for the Caledonian Cougars U15 boys as they were defeated 8-0 by Wessex Leopards.

It was in the second quarter that Wessex Leopards opened the scoring. Ellis Robson scored from open play in the 20th minute before Sam Porter made it 2-0 a minute later.

It was a similar story in the third quarter when two quick back-to-back goals by Thomas Smith and Harry Croft-Baker made it 4-0.

The final quarter saw Wessex Leopard strike another four goals through Robson for his double, Croft-Baker for his second, and strikes for William Prentice and Fergus Jackson.

 

Caledonian Cougars U17 Girls 4-4 Wessex Leopards U17 Girls

It was a rip-roaring battle between the Caledonian Cougars and Wessex Leopards U17 girls, which saw the teams share the points.

Wessex Leopards opened the scoring in the seventh minute through a penalty corner strike by Izzy Petter.

The Caledonian Cougars however struck back immediately when Eve Pearson levelled the scores inside nine minutes.

It was just before half time when the Leopards took the lead. Hannah Birchall made it 2-1 before Coca Hall made it 3-1 on the other side of half time.

The Cougars came out flying in the third quarter and scored three goals to take the lead. First Emily Dark struck before Lexi Sabatelli and Jenny Walls found the net to make it 4-3 to the Cougars.

A late equaliser by Victoria McCabe made it 4-4, which was how it ended in a highly-entertaining encounter.

 

Caledonian Cougars U15 Girls 0-0 Mercia Lynx U15 Girls

A very tight game between Caledonian Cougars and Mercia Lynx U15 girls ended in stalemate with neither side able to break the deadlock.

Mercia Lynx when onto beat Saxon Tigers which left the Cougars in second spot in the table with a head-to-head with the bottom placed Tigers up next.

 

 

Caledonian Cougars U17 Boys 3-5 Saxon Tigers U17 Boys

Despite an excellent Caledonian Cougars U17 boys fightback it was the Saxon Tigers who won a high-scoring affair.

The Saxon Tigers got off to a flying start surging into a 3-0 lead in the opening quarter. Archie Winter scored from a penalty corner in the first minute before Jonathon Lankfer and Karan Sofat both struck at the end of the quarter.

The Cougars pulled one back right before half time when Andrew McConnell struck to make it 3-1.

It was 3-2 midway through the third quarter when McConnell fired him his second goal of the day before Fraser Heigh equalised for the Cougars early in the final quarter.

The Tigers were able to take the lead again scoring two goals back-to-back to claim the win in an enthralling match.
