The men’s European Play-Off match was played between Western Wildcats (who finished their League programme in 2nd place), and Grange (as winners of the Scottish Cup). The Euro Play-Off was played as a result of the Scottish Cup winners (Grange) completing their League programme outwith the top two places, therefore Grange, as winners of the Scottish Cup, played the second placed League team for the second European slot.

GRANGE H.C. have qualified for the 2009-2010 Euro Hockey Trophy.

Women’s European Play-Off (this match will no longer be taking place - see below for details)

The women’s European Play-Off match will not be played, as the winners of the National League Cup (Bonagrass Grove) also won the National League Div.1, therefore the two European qualifiers will be Bonagrass Grove as League winners and Porcelanosa Kelburne Ladies as League runners-up.
