UKCC Level 2 Coaching Qualification

For Level 1 qualified coaches or those who can evidence prior learning, you can start working towards your UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) Level 2 qualification:

  • Ideal for those wishing to work towards becoming a club/team coach
  • Anyone over 18 years old can qualify
  • Duration is approx. 4 days
  • Increases your depth of hockey skills’ knowledge and tactical elements of hockey – attacking, defending, set-pieces
  • Challenges your use of the Golden Thread
  • Improves your delivery using observation, analysis and reflection
  • Provided with a copy of NAC Analysis Software

The cost is £420 for Scottish Hockey members; £470 for non-members

Participants must also complete a First Aid qualification and a sportscoach UK Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop.

Scholarship funding is available direct from sportscotland and will be provided to Scottish Hockey members who apply using the application process detailed on sportscotland website.

Funding available will be 60% for UKCC Level 2 participants.

Following the successful completion of all aspects of the training course, you will be awarded a formal qualification from the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).
