CORPORATE STRATEGY 2010-2014

Scottish Hockey's Vision Statement:

'To provide the opportunity for more Scots to enjoy hockey to the highest level they desire throughout their lifetime.'

2010-2014 Corporate Strategy

Scottish Hockey continues to adopt a forward-thinking and professional approach to achieving our vision through our 2010-2014 Corporate Strategy, 'Business for the Future'.

It is intended to deliver benefits for the entire Scottish hockey community.

The 2010-2014 Corporate Strategy sets out a series of visions statements, objectives, and outcomes across five key business areas:

  • Development: 'More People, More Often'

  • Performance: 'Unleash the Potential'

  • Leadership: 'A Strong Vibrant Organisation'

  • Governance: 'Controlled Growth'

  • Communication: 'Efficient, Effective, Engaging'

The Corporate Strategy is reviewed annually by the Scottish Hockey Board of Directors to determine the progress and success of strategic actions plans. This includes  evaluation and measurement of outcomes against key performance indicators.

This review follows two annual meetings with our member clubs to ensure the Corporate Strategy continues to meet their needs, and those of the sport as a whole.

Consequently, whilst our Corporate Strategy is intended to be consistent to 2014, each business area of the Corporate Strategy is therefore updated and signed off by the Board of Directors on an annual basis.

The successful achievement of our vision requires input, co-operation, communication, and a shared philosophy with our key stakeholders. Subsequently, we continue to welcome your input and feedback on our Corporate Strategy.
