Introduction to Stronger Game
The concept of Stronger Game is to put the development of the individual player first and foremost in the development of hockey activities.
It looks at hockey across five key areas; Technical and Tactical Skills, Physical Conditioning, Fundamental movement skills, Psycho-behavioural skills and Lifestyle Management (Including Competition). These areas are considered across all ages, from an introduction to hockey at 5 years old to reaching their pinnacle of their performance.
The Stronger Game model will form the framework for the development of the sport of hockey across all its disciplines. It will impact programmes in clubs, schools, districts and at the national level.
On completion of the Consultation paper Scottish Hockey is currently working with a number of groups to create a comprehensive resource pack. At present, an overview of what Stonger Game aims to do can be found by clicking on the image below or on the right hand side of the page.
The first stage that will be made available is the "Developing the Player" stage, we hope the material will be available later this year.
