About Perth
Perth is situated on the banks of one of Scotland's longest rivers, the River Tay. Around Perth there is great scenery as well as historic buildings, excellent shopping facilities and plenty of places to eat.  The city is compact and easy to get around by foot and hosts two large public parks, the North and South Inch.

Located in the heart of Scotland, Perth was once capital of Scotland. In and around Perth there are several activities which you can participate in such as fishing, golf, walking, cycling and for the more daring Zorbing or Sphering.  One of Britain's oldest Museums is located in Perth, the Perth Museum and Art Gallery, which hosts exhibits to natural and local history as well as important collections of art, archaeology and photography.

Other suggested attractions in and around Perth are Scone Palace, Glenturret Distillery, and Pitlochry. Former home to famous Scots such as MacBeth and Robert the Bruce, Scone Palace is one of Scotland's most historical sites.  Surrounding grounds of the palace host beautiful gardens and woodland walks.  Glenturret is the country's oldest distillery where you can see how Scotland's Famous Grouse whisky is made.  Enjoy hillwalks, mountin biking, or some of Scotland's best angling in the popular tourist town of Pitlochry on the river Tummel.
