Scottish Umpires and Technical Officials Association

Message on behalf of the new Scottish Umpires and Technical Officials Association:

A group of senior umpires and technical officials are currently working on the formation of a new Scottish Umpires and Technical Officials Association. The thought process behind this is to bring all officiating under a single umbrella body to help increase the quality and indeed quantity of hockey officials in Scotland.

To make this new body a success, it is vital that they compile a comprehensive list of all qualified hockey officials in Scotland, whether they be active or inactive.

Once this comprehensive list is compiled, it will allow the opportunity to invite all those qualified to register with the new body at no cost. Further it will allow the body to ensure that everyone is kept updated with an invite to the first AGM of the association, as well as informed of all courses that the body will be seeking to run. This will ensure the body can fulfil its first objective of developing officials for the domestic game in Scotland.

To compile the list, the body request that the attached Google form is completed and submitted prior to 5pm on Friday 28th May 2021. This will allow the body to form a database of officials and mailing list, prior to issuing invites to the first AGM.

Please ensure that friends and club mates potentially not receiving this email are aware of the new initiative. The body will greatly appreciate all traction from clubs and individuals in order to reach as many of those qualified as possible.

For any questions, or for anyone not receiving this email who wishes to be on the mailing list, then contact [email protected]

Thanks in anticipation.
