Scottish Hockey is delighted to team up with the British Heart Foundation and support the fight against heart and circulatory diseases. Through the Club Pledge initiative, which hockey clubs across Scotland have signed up to support, the hockey family can come together to raise funds and support the British Heart Foundations’ life-saving work.

Hockey is the fun, friendly and exciting sport for life so let’s use hockey’s platform to help raise awareness and improve early diagnosis and prevention of heart disease. We want to help beat heartbreak for Scotland by helping fund life-saving research to find better ways of diagnosing, treating and ultimately curing heart and circulatory diseases.

Let’s do this together. Join our team and let’s beat heartbreak forever.

Donations to our retail shops

Our fabulous retail shops are always in need of stock that they can sell to raise money for our lifesaving research. Did you know, on average, every bag of donated stock has a value of £13! We can facilitate stock collections from your clubs or work with your members to promote our new freepost donation service.

Be a club of lifesavers

Only 1 in 10 people survive an out of hospital cardiac arrest in Scotland. It can happen to anyone, at any time.

Knowing CPR could make all the difference.

At The BHF we’re on a mission to triple survival rates of cardiac arrests, and we’re creating a nation of lifesavers – getting more people trained up in CPR.

We want to train as many Scottish Hockey members in CPR as possible. To launch our partnership, we are organising a virtual CPR session on Wednesday 25th August 2021 – sign up here.

Please contact Laura Stockwell if you are interested in organising a CPR session for your club.

Defibrillators

Does your club have defibrillators on site? If not, then BHF could work with you to arrange the purchase of defibrillators and training for your club. Not only is this of benefit to your staff and members, but also the local communities surrounding the clubs. Contact Laura Stockwell for more information.

Supporting your members’ wellbeing

We have lots of health and wellbeing resources for your members – from healthy food recipes, hints & tips on how to reduce your stress levels, or trustworthy information on specific heart and circulatory conditions.

Contact Laura Stockwell for more information on how we can create a bespoke wellbeing package for your club.
