Grange Hockey Club – Men’s Coach

Grange Hockey club are recruiting for a Men’s 1s Head Coach.

The role offers:

– The opportunity to coach the current Scottish Mens Champions working with a young, committed side with multiple internationalists at both senior and age group levels.

– Coach at a European tournament during 21/22 season.

Grange Hockey Club is located in central Edinburgh and is one of the largest in the country with 7 men’s teams, 4 ladies teams and 150+ juniors. Home matches and training is at Fettes College.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual who wants to be involved and gain experience at the highest club level.

East District 

East District are recruiting 2 Lead coaches to work with the Boys U14 and U16 hockey programmes. Sessions run on Friday evenings (for approx. 25 weeks of the year), starting at the end of September.

The role includes session planning and coaching, management of assistant coaches to support the programme and preparation of teams for any competitions or scheduled matches. They will be supported by a Youth convenor and parent helpers.

Dundee Wanderers Ladies 1 Coach

The club are looking t appoint a coach for the above position for the upcoming season and beyond. The candidate should have coaching experience and be prepared to prepare the team for all training sessions and travel to matches.

ESM Hockey Club: Coaching positions 2021/22 (Ladies 1st Team)

ESM Hockey Club, based in Edinburgh, is looking for a coach to assist in establishing and developing our Ladies 1st team for their 2021/22 campaign as a new entry into the Scottish Hockey Premiership League.

This is a very exciting opportunity for a coach to come and join our growing club, which is also currently upgrading to a water-based pitch, to be ready for mid-August.  Currently we have 4 mens senior teams, 3 ladies teams and a thriving junior section. We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and creative coach.

The following coaching position is available:

Ladies 1st team coach – required Tuesdays 7.30-9pm, Thursday 7-9pm and match days (mainly played on Saturdays).

Role requirements;

  • To coach midweek, midweek, and support the Ladies 1st Team on Saturdays and when applicable to provide support to the other Ladies teams when commitments with the Ladies 1s allow
  • To fulfill the Ladies team objectives
  • To train and support the Ladies teams to fulfill the set objectives
  • Ladies 1st team training is Tuesday 7.30-9pm, and Thursday 7-9pm
  • Provide direct coaching to the ladies 1s and select ladies 2s during these session
  • Coordinate with other coaches when required to support the ladies 2nd and 3rd
  • Work closely with the selected Captains to:
  • Communicate clearly to the Ladies section with regards to training, selection, matches, friendlies etc
  • Ensure there is transparency at all times
  • Must have a current and valid PVG prior to commencing coaching and liaise with CPO to obtain the same
  • Use Scottish Hockey hub
  • Have a level 2 or higher coaching qualification
  • Must adhere to ESM HC’s coaching policy
  • Represent ESM HC on and off the pitch.
  • The ESM HC is affiliated with the Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools and is therefore representing the school when wearing Club kit. All Club members are expected to be ambassadors of the Club, FP Clubs, ESM Schools, East district and the SHU.

Remuneration negotiable with experience.

The ideal candidates will be committed, hands on, and a have a good team ethos.  Applicants will also have a dynamic, hardworking personality and a passion to develop players. Inverleith Hockey Club – Ladies 1st Team Head Coach

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to become our new Ladies 1st Team Head Coach.

A player/coach role will also be considered for the right candidate; or indeed someone looking to progress their career in a coaching environment in their first step as a pure coach without playing. Midland District

Midlands Hockey District are recruiting coaches to work with the Boys u14 and u16 hockey programmes. U14 Sessions are last Friday of each month and U16 Sessions are second last Friday of each month, starting in September based at Dalnacraig, Dundee.

Lead Coach position is a paid role. Role includes, Session coaching, session planning and developing teams for District competition.

Both roles will have the support of managers to organise and coordinate.

Independent School Head of Hockey

Daniel Scargill is recruiting for a Head of Hockey role within an independent school in Scotland. Dan is recruiting an established hockey coach to start work as a full-time, residential Director/Head of Hockey within a top school. The role offers the opportunity to coach the current Scottish Men’s Premiership Champions alongside head coach Callum Milne working with a young, committed side with multiple full internationalists. The role would also involve coaching the team at the Euro Hockey League (EHL) tournament in October in Antwerp.

The Club has produced many international players over the years and currently has players representing district and national teams at multiple age groups including youth, senior teams and masters levels. We have a busy social calendar with events throughout the year. Grange Hockey Club is located in central Edinburgh and is one of the largest in the country with 7 men’s teams, 4 ladies teams and 150+ kids. Home matches and training are at Fettes College.

Who we are looking for:

  • An enthusiastic and committed individual who is keen to learn and develop.
  • Someone who can assist sessions and occasionally lead sessions when the Head Coach is absent
  • Support the development of the junior players
  • Callum Milne (Head Coach) is a player so the assistant coach would run the bench and lead from the sidelines on a matchday.

This is an exciting position for any coach who is enthusiastic, motivated and wants to be involved and gain experience at the highest club level.

As an amateur club the position would be voluntary. However you would receive:
