Coaching opportunities with men’s o60/o65/o70 masters squads
Coach wanted (Male or Female) for Scotland Masters men’s Over 60’s international team.
The team is currently the European Bronze medallists. The initial period of appointment would be from the recommencement of hockey in Scotland through to the World Cup in Japan in Nov 2021.
Candidates’ qualifications:
Essential – Level 2 with experience of coaching a club team.
Desirable – experience of coaching at representative level.
The role would particularly suit someone looking to gain experience of coaching at international standard and tournament events.
Role of the successful candidate:
To produce and implement a well-structured and progressive coaching programme to meet the needs of the players for competitions.
To prepare, organise and deliver regular training sessions at selected venues.
To coach the team during competitions in Scotland and abroad.
To coach the team at the World Cup with the duties that involves. This is usually a 10-14 day event.
Potential Candidates should possess the following skills:-
The ability to develop and deliver high quality coaching sessions, focusing on player technical development and tactical awareness
The ability to communicate in a highly effective manner and have excellent team building skills
The ability to lead and improve players
The ability to motivate players to deliver of their best in every game
Remuneration
The successful candidates will receive:-
A coaching fee for the training sessions
Travelling expenses for attending tournaments
Accommodation costs for attending tournaments

The initial period of appointment would be from the recommencement of hockey in Scotland through to the Masters World Cup in Japan in Nov 2021. The 065s Masters will be participating at least in the 4 Nations and Celtic Cup tournaments in 2021.
Candidates’ qualifications:
Essential – Level 2 and coaching a club team.
Desirable – experience of coaching at representative level.
The role would particularly suit someone looking to gain experience of coaching at international standard and tournament events.

Coach wanted (Male or Female) for Scotland Masters Men’s Over 70’s International team.
The initial period of appointment would be from the recommencement of hockey in Scotland through to the World Cup in Japan in Nov 2021. Although the 70s will not play in this Tournament they will in 2020/2, as well as organised training sessions, participate in the Celtic Cup and the Four Nations Tournament,
Candidates qualifications:
Essential – Level 1 with a commitment to achieving Level 2 and coaching a club team.
Desirable – experience of coaching at representative level.
The role would particularly suit someone looking to gain experience of coaching at international standard and tournament events.

To produce and implement a well-structured and progressive coaching programme to meet the needs of the players for competitions.
To prepare, organise and deliver regular training sessions at selected venues.
To coach the team during competitions in Scotland and abroad.
