The Senior Aspire Schools Cup is an 11-a-side competition for school teams from S3 to S6 to participate in a national cup (but players in S1 & S2 can also play). Teams play in a tournament at a centralised venue, with the top teams qualifying for Finals Day.

The criteria for schools entering is as follows, although we are being flexible this season give the disruption caused to school hockey by the pandemic:
1. A full school hockey programme running for less than 3 years. A full hockey programme would be weekly training and regular matches throughout the school year.
2. The school did not play in the Scottish Schools Cup in previous 3 seasons.
3. Multiple schools can come together to create a team where there are limited numbers or resources available, providing no trials are held to select teams.

This season we held two qualifying tournaments:

Glenalmond College, Perthshire on Wednesday 27 October 2021: Boys and Girls (Pool A)

Peffermill Playing Fields, Edinburgh on Friday 5 November 2021: Girls (Pool B).
