In the Women’s Arthur McKay Scottish Plate semi-finals, Esrkine Stewart’s Melville FP edged past local rivals Grange EL A by a slim 1-0 margin. The former pupils will play another local derby in the plate final after Watsonians defeated Glasgow Accies 6-2 in the day’s second semi-final.
Meanwhile, Waverley Inveresk Trinity look likely to be relegated from Women’s Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 2 after they lost 3-0 at home to fellow strugglers Glasgow University at Bangholm today.
The students now face a massive match against Haddington Ladies tomorrow, where a win would consign their opponents and Waverley Inveresk Trinity to Division 3 next season.
