Futures Cup 2018 squads announced
The Caledonian Cougars will compete in England Hockey’s Futures Cup 2018 in the U15 and U17 boys’ and girls’ age groups. It is the third year running the squads will play at the tournament.
The Futures Cup 2018 will be held on Wednesday 22 to Saturday 25 August at Oaklands College, St Albans.
The Futures Cup was created to simulate an international tournament, and provides the players with the opportunity to test themselves against highly talented regional teams. The tournament shows the standard it takes to be a top young player in the UK and supports development through a high intensity tournament.
Previous Caledonian Cougars squads have contained players who are now making an impact at both Scotland senior level and at various national age groups.
In last year’s event the Caledonian Cougars U17 Girls’ squad won the silver medal after a dramatic shoot-out with Saxon Tigers.
