Grove Menzieshill in relegation decider

Grove Menzieshill will need a win against Russian indoor champions HC Dinamo-Elektrostal in tomorrow’s final EuroHockey Indoor Club Trophy match in order to avoid relegation to the Challenge I.
The Dundonians started the day in fine form when they secured a vital 5-4 win against HK Zrinjevac in their third Pool B match this morning. Louise Carroll grabbed an impressive four goals, including three penalty strokes and a penalty corner, while a winning goal from Louise Baxter two minutes from time earned the Scots a vital five points to carry forward to the relegation pool.
However, Charlotte Jones’ side lost out 5-1 to Italian champions HF Lorenzoni in their first relegation pool match this afternoon, meaning they face an anxious contest against the Russians tomorrow morning. Louise Carroll got the solitary goal for Grove Menzieshill.
