Honours even between Kelburne and Grange
It was honours even in today’s top of the table clash between Glynhill Hotel Kelburne and Grange in the Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 1 as the two pacesetters battled it out for a 3-3 draw at Bellahouston.
The Paisley side were 2-0 up but the capital outfit fought back to claim an important point and stay in contention for the Division 1 title.
Despite dropping their first points of the season, Kelburne remain unbeaten and maintain their position at the top of the league from Grange on goal difference.
They can stretch their lead to three points next weekend when they play their game in hand against Inverleith at home.
Elsewhere, Grove Menzieshill remain a single point behind the top two after a convincing 4-0 away win against AMN Hillhead in Glasgow.
Western Wildcats and AAM Gordonians was postponed.
In Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 2, Dundee Wanderers extended their lead at the top of the table to eleven points following a 6-3 win over second place Falkirk GHG.
Both Glasgow University and McWhinney Uddingston remain in the hunt for promotion following the students’ 6-2 win over bottom place Highland and the Lanarkshire side’s comprehensive 5-0 away win against Granite City Wanderers.
Meanwhile, at the foot of the table, CALA Edinburgh climbed out of the relegation zone following a vital 3-2 away win over fellow strugglers Dundee University.
St.Andrew’s University moved one place up the table after a 6-2 triumph over Alpha Data Carnegie and Stepps losing 2-1 at home to Aberdeen GSFP.
