Scottish Hockey Goalkeeping Academy gets Monarch support

Scottish Hockey today announced an innovative new partnership with equipment supplier Monarch Hockey to support a new Goalkeeping Academy being run and administered by senior goalkeeping coach Graham Stuart.
As Official Goalkeeping Equipment Supplier to Scottish Hockey, Monarch Hockey will provide assistance to goalkeepers within the international programmes at all levels, including senior, U21, U18 and U16, as well as offering support for the development of young goalkeepers.
The Cheltenham-based company, who have over 25 years of heritage and experience as hockey suppliers, including CE market protection and quality manufacturing processes, will also provide support to coach education courses. Attendees, including players and coaches, will benefit from equipment demonstrations as part of the coach education offering.
Callum McLeod, Performance Manager, was delighted to secure Monarch Hockey as the Official Goalkeeping Equipment Supplier for Scottish Hockey;
“We are all excited about the new partnership with Monarch Hockey as it makes our coaching programme even more effective.
“Graham Stuart is involved in developing the content for the Goalkeeping Academy, which will be supported by Monarch, and our goalkeepers within the programme will have access to their product and expert coaching advice from the likes of Great Britain ‘keeper George Pinner throughout the lifetime of this project.
“I am looking forward to the benefits the partnership will bring to Academy the sport in Scotland.”

“We know that goalkeeping can be a solitary and not to mention expensive position for a youngster to develop in, which is why we were keen to offer support to goalkeeping specific coaching via the new Academy sessions.  We are convinced that our partnership with Scottish Hockey will see more youngsters able to continue with gGoalkeeping through access to our coaching and product range.”
