Scottish Hockey shares Fantastic Fanatics fundraising platform nationwide
After a North District trial, Scottish Hockey and Fantastic Fanatics are today launching a nationwide partnership offering a tremendous fundraising opportunity to hockey clubs across Scotland.
Fantastic Fanatics is a fundraising platform that delivers new revenue streams to clubs by allowing people to generate commission from retailers that go straight to the clubs of their choice.
The club gets paid whenever its fans and members shop, eat out, book hotels and lots more.
Scottish Hockey launched a trial of the service last year in the north and now clubs across Scotland have the opportunity to sign up and have their fans and members fundraise for their club every time they make a purchase from one of Fantastic Fanatics retail partners.
Scottish Hockey CEO David Sweetman said, “I’m delighted to roll out the Fantastic Fanatics fundraising opportunity to all of our clubs after the trial in the north. It’s an excellent chance for simple fundraising where members can raise money for their club while shopping online and in stores.
“The list of retail partners on the platform is impressive and it’s a great opportunity to give your club a commission on purchases you would make anyway. It’s a straight forward and interesting fundraising method that could offer a lot of value for clubs.”
Fantastic Fanatics, Operations Director, Barry Munro added “We are delighted to have partnered with Scottish Hockey and are pleased to play a part in helping to raise funds to support clubs and the development of the sport across all of Scotland. Hopefully Fantastic Fanatics can further support the amazing things Scottish Hockey and their affiliated clubs are doing on and off the pitch.
“Our innovative and secure platform delivers a new revenue stream to clubs, trusts and organisations, so hockey clubs simply get paid whenever their members shop, eat out, book hotels and lots more. We aim to grow our platform alongside Scottish Hockey and this partnership will help us deliver a wider range of online and in-store retail, leisure and hospitality partners that will ultimately give club members the biggest and best choice of where and how to generate funds for their club.
“The technology behind Fantastic Fanatics makes things so simple for the supporter, as they can choose the association or club they want to support, make a purchase at one of their favourite online retailers and generate a commission, all with a few clicks of the mouse.
“Our in store offering will be nationwide in the near future and offers further flexibility on how to generate club funds – there is no extra card or app required and it’s business as usual at the point of sale for the consumer and the retailer. Ultimately, Fantastic Fanatics enables sports clubs and organisations to worry less about the finances and get on with what they do best – delivering the benefits of sport to their participants, fans and members.”
