Tim Morrison
Scottish Hockey is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Tim
Morrison this week, aged 82.
Tim was Scottish Hockey Association President from 1974-76 and from
1980-87. He also served on the Great Britain Hockey Board from 1984
and attended the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and the 1988
Olympic Games in Seoul, where he was Chef de Mission.
In his playing days, Tim was a solid hockey player, representing
ICI Grangemouth amongst a number of hockey clubs. He was highly
respected and well known for his pleasant manner.
Tim was also a teacher at Stirling High School, before lecturing in
Chemistry at Jordanhill College of Education in Glasgow. He was
also an assistant rector at Brechin High School before becoming an
advisor to both Angus and Tayside local authorities.

“We are truly saddened to learn of Tim’s passing and our sincere
condolences are extended to his family, in particular his wife
Isabel, and close friends. Tim was a highly respected member of the
hockey family, both in Scotland and further afield, and will be
truly missed by those who knew him.”

A Thanksgiving Service will take place from 12pm on Saturday 16
June at Letham Church, Letham, Angus.
