Trials for Scottish veteran age groups to take place in December
Scottish veteran teams will be hosting a number of
trials next month with a view to preparation for 2012
tournaments.
Please see more information below.
Over 40s and 45s (Peffermill)
Trials for both the over 40s and 45s will be held at
Peffermill on Sunday 4th December.
Interested players should email organiser Stephen Springthorpe.
Over 50s and 55s (Peffermill)
Following their successful visit to the World Cup earlier this
month in Singapore (where both sides finished in 4th position in
their respective competitions), the over 50s and over 55s will be
holding their initial assessment trial for 2012 at
Peffermill on Sunday 4th December, starting around
10am and running until around 4pm.
2012 will be a busy year for both squads, with planned
tournaments including the English Divisional Championships
(provisionally May), the Home Internationals (provisionally June in
Scotland) which will act as a prelude to the World Cup tournament
scheduled for August 15-25 down in Canterbury, Kent.
The initial assessment trial will take the form of a District
Tournament and sides are expected to be entered from East, West,
Midlands, North and South (with the latter being a composite team
to include any players joining us who are based in England).
If you wish to be considered for selection for your District
team, please contact your District organiser (details of which
should be on your District hockey web pages). If you require
any further information, please email Tim
Wilcock or the trial organiser Mike
McInally.
