Weekend Round Up

Aberdeen Asset Management Men’s National League Division 1

Western Wildcats move up to second after two back to back wins this weekend, in an end to end match finishing 4-2 over Inverleith followed by 5-2 win over Grange.

Ewan Campbell scored a crucial goal for Hillhead as they won 1-0 in Dundee against Scottish Cup champions Grove Menzieshill. Hillhead need one point from the remaining two games to secure a top four finish.

PSL Team Sport Clydesdale secured a vital three points away from home winning 5-3 over struggling Dundee Wanderers. Fourth place Grange beat Edinburgh University 4-0.

 

Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 2

Uddingston are the Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division two champions after two back to back wins, defeating Falkirk 3-0 on Sunday and Stepps 11-2 on Saturday. They are 10 points clear at the top with Sunday’s goals coming from Laurie McKelvie, Jonny Roy and Josh Cairns.

Second place Watsonains nipped three points off Erksine Stewart Melville with a close 3-2 win away from home. After losing by a goal on Saturday 3-2 to Falkirk GHG.

University of St Andrews had a comfortable weekend as they beat bottom side FMGM Monarchs 6-1 and Aberdeen GDFP 7-1.

Fellow students Glasgow University beat Alpha Data Carnegie 6-3 and beat CALA Edinburgh 5-2, helping them move up the table to ninth.

Granite City Wanderers move up to seventh after a 3-1 win over Stepps and CALA Edinburgh lost out to Aberdeen GSFP 4-2.

Alpha Data Carnegie won 4-2 over Granite City Wanderers and Erskine Stewart Melville won 4-2 against FMGM Monarchs.

Aberdeen Asset Management National League Division 3

After last weekends first loss of the season 2020 Renewables Greenock found their league winning form and beat a struggling 10 man Giffnock 15-0.

Third place Perthshire had a tough match against second place University of Dundee but came away the victors 2-1.

Struggling Stirling Wanderers managed to hold mid table side Waverley Inveresk Trinity to a 2-2 draw to secure a vital point.

Highland beat Ayr 4-2 and University of Strathclyde won 4-1 in Aberdeen over fellow students ADTI Aberdeen University.

 

Regional Leagues

Central Division 1

After only losing one match so far this season Grange II extend their league lead with a big 8-0 win over Stepps II.

Close on their tails second place Thomsons Cycles Kelburne II won 3-0 comfortably over Edinburgh University II.

Bottom side University of Stirling drew 1-1 with fellow students Edinburgh University III, both needing that vital point for each side at the end of the table.

The Edinburgh students redeem themselves the following day securing 3-2 over Western Wildcats II at Peffermill.

Third place Hillhead II beat Western Wildcats II 4-0 and Inverleith II won 3-1 over Grange III.

 

Central Division 2

Much needed back to back wins for PSL Team Sports Clydesdale III to help them move up to ninth, a close 2-1 win over third place Clydeside followed by a 1-0 win over mid table side Watsonians.

League leaders Rottenrow Blue Sox extend their lead by 11 points with a game in hand as they won away from home against fellow Glaswegian team GHK 6-2.

GHK played again on Sunday and won by one goal in a close game against Falkirk GHG II 5-4.

Fourth place Anchor gained three points after a straight 3-0 win over bottom side Livingston & West Lothian. Watsonians II won 3-1 over Falkirk GHG II.

Second place Uddingston II added to their tally with mighty 7-1 win over Glasgow University II followed by a 2-0 win away from home over Erskine Stewart Melville II.

 

North Division

AAM Gordonians II take the league lead after beating their III side 3-1, they are three points above Grove Menzieshill II who did not play at the weekend.

Aberdeen GSFP III beat their II in a thrilling all club battle finishing 5-3 with only a point separating the two sides in the table.

Bottom side ADTI Aberdeen University II secured vital points with a 1-0 win over Granite City Wanderers II.
