Western Wildcats dragged themselves right back into contention with the teams aiming to avoid the drop from the Women’s Aberdeeen Asset Management National League Division 1 with a crucial 2-0 away win over fellow strugglers Inverleith Ladies at Edinburgh Academy today.

The Aberdonians suffered a 4-1 away defeat at the hands of Hillhead Ladies, who moved up to fourth place in the division courtesy of the victory at Jordanhill.
Haddington Ladies eased their relegation fears with a great 3-2 win away to Borders Fjordhus Rievers, while Waverley Inveresk Trinity’s battle to beat the drop to Division 3 is looking tougher by the week. The Edinburgh outfit played out a 0-0 draw with Highland at Bangholm.
