The Scotland women’s national team is hoping for a large and vibrant home support at Women’s EuroHockey Championship II as they face up to some tough competition in Glasgow.

Scotland will play in Pool B of the preliminary round, which also includes Austria, the Ukraine and the Czech Republic. It was a 1-0 defeat to the Czech Republic in 2017 that led to Scotland’s relegation to EuroHockey Championship II after many years of competing in the top flight.

Pool A will see the impressive Italy, Poland, Turkey and hosts of the last Women’s EuroHockey Championship II Wales fight it out to advance to the semi-finals. It is these crucial semi finals that will decide the teams who will be promoted before the battle for silverware between the top two in the final, and the fight against relegation in the playoffs.
