Scottish Hockey's Board of Directors sets the strategic vision for the organisation and monitors the activities of Scottish Hockey against long-term business targets, determining priroty areas.

Lee Cousins: President

Lee became the President of Scottish Hockey in 2008, previously having been Vice-President, and being a member of the Scottish Hockey Board of Directors since 2000.

He has been involved in the development of Scottish hockey for over 25 years, including positions in International administration, selection, team management and coaching, and was previously a GB selector.  Other positions Lee has held along the way include coach, national youth convenor, East District President, national umpire, and President of Inverleith HC.

Lee is a graduate in Agricultural Economics from Aberdeen and following post-graduate study at Cornell University has had a career in recreation research and sports policy and strategy, mostly with sportscotland.

Denis Robertson-Sullivan: Chairman

Denis is a communications specialist and has grown a start up into the third largest independent Public Relations company in Scotland.

He has been the director of Public Affairs, Community Newspaper, Events, Advertising, Training, Economic and Environmental companies or consultancies.

He has also previously managed not-for-profit companies, and been a Chair, Director, Managing Director, Non Executive Director and Treasurer of other organisations.

Denis has been involved with sport politics for over a decade and was influential in having Sport 21 included in the First Scottish Government's Partnership Agreement

Peter Monaghan: Company Secretary

Now a retired company accountant, Peter, who has been Company Secretary since incorporation in June 2000, was appointed to the Board at the Annual General Meeting in 2008.

Peter began playing hockey with Stepps in 1960 and is a former international selector/manager, Honorary Treasurer and President of Scottish Hockey. He currently chairs the Audit Committee which reports directly to the Board on such matters as finance and risk assessment.

Peter is also a former president of the West District and was also Honorary Treasurer of the Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland for a number of years.

Anne Wotherspoon: Non-Executive Director

Anne is a Chartered Accountant currently working for a small family owned group of companies based in West Lothian. Previously she specialised in taxation with KPMG.

Anne has played hockey for over 40 years and is a former President of West District and Treasurer of the SWHA.

She has considerable knowledge and experience of all levels of hockey.  An EHF and FIH Tournament Director, she has officiated extensively throughout Europe and was a judge at both the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006 and the World Cup Qualifier in San Diego in 2010.

Jim C Aitken MBE: Non-Executive Director

Jim has been involved in sport education since graduation in 1982 and is currently the Director of Sport and Exercise at the University of Edinburgh.

Passionate about creating sporting opportunities for young people, Jim has helped Edinburgh become Scotland's leading sporting university by offering a hugely impressive array of top quality facilities, activity programs and support services.

As well as being a lifelong member of Scottish Hockey, Jim also represented Scotland as a player internationally at both junior and senior levels.

In 2010, Jim was awarded an MBE in the Queen's birthday honours list for services to student sport and is also the holder of several other awards for his outstanding contribution to sport in the UK.

Richard Aitkinson: Non-Executive Director

Richard is a Director in a family owned logistics and construction business and has a keen awareness of the interface of sport and social enterprise.

Richard is currently heavily involved in a number of sport and social enterprise projects.  This includes the Glasgow National Hockey Centre, which is currently under development and is dedicated to securing financial and social return for the sport into the future.

Andrew Scoular: Non-Executive Director

Andrew has been involved in sports administration and development for the past 27 years and has led and implemented change in organisations such as Glasgow City Council and the Rugby Football Union.

Andrew has also played Hockey at international level more than 110 times for Scotland and has achieved the FIH (International Hockey Federation) Coaching Award as well as previously holding the post of Senior Women's Coach.

Scott Baird: Non-Executive Director

Scott has a long history with Hockey, starting in 1976 when he played for Uddingston Hockey Club and still continues to do so.  He maintains his passion for Hockey on the International scene serving as a member of the European Hockey Federation Indoor Competitions Committee.

Scott is also a graduate of the UK Sport International Influencing program, meaning he is well placed to advance Scottish Hockey's influence in Europe and beyond.

Robert Heatly: CEO

Robert joined Scottish Hockey in 2011 after almost 30 years as an officer in the Royal Marines. Experienced in a variety of leadership and management roles in the Military, Civil and Diplomatic sectors, he is widely travelled having served in every continent except Antarctica.  He was awarded an operational MBE in 1993.

Passionate about sport, he has participated in a variety of roles including as a competitor, coach, administrator and ambassador.  A former member of both the Scottish Swimming and Water Polo Squads, he served as the Chairman of Royal Navy Swimming, organising several major competitions, national and international and, in 1986, he was seconded to the Organising Committee for the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh.
