Senior Boys Cup

The Senior Boys Cup semi-finals will be: Strathallan v Edinburgh Academy; and George Watson’s College v Fettes College, who met in last season’s final. Strathallan won an 8-goal thriller in their quarter-final v Hutchesons’ GS; Academy won 2-0 at Glenalmond; Watson’s beat Merchiston Castle 3-0; and Fettes edged past Balerno/Boroughmuir 2-1. The losing teams drop into the Plate, where Robert Gordon’s have already reached the semi by beating Gordonstoun. Loretto’s 5-4 win on penalties v George Heriot’s has earned them a quarter-final v Merchiston.

Junior Boys Cup

The semi-final line-up in the Junior Boys Cup is: Jordanhill School v Hutchesons; and holders Fettes v George Watson’s. Jordanhill’s 2-1 win v Edinburgh Academy was the closest of the quarter-final results. Strathallan have reached the Plate semi-final, and the other places will be decided from Loretto v Heriots; Merchiston v Glenalmond; and Stewart’s Melville v Edinburgh Academy.

Senior Girls Cup

There are some fascinating ties in Senior Girls Cup quarter-finals.  In two Edinburgh derbies, Mary Erskine’s host George Heriots; and St George’s meet George Watson’s. High School of Glasgow will play Dollar Academy; and Hutchesons’ are up against Edinburgh Academy. Last season’s runners-up Jordanhill will meet Loretto in the Plate after losing 5-4 on penalties to Dollar; and we also have Glasgow Academy v Glenalmond; High School of Dundee v St Columba’s; and Strathallan v Fettes, the latter losing to St George’s on penalties in the cup after an epic 4-4 draw.

Senior Girls Challenge Cup

We’ve had some cracking matches in the Senior Girls Challenge Cup. Kelso High School’s win on penalties at St Aloysius was followed by a 4-1 win against Lomond, but the Borderers’ campaign has just been ended in the quarters by holders Kelvinside. Robert Gordon’s 3-2 win on penalties v Peebles puts them up against another Borders’ school, Selkirk HS. Boroughmuir have made a great start, beating Wellington in Ayr to earn a home tie v Morrison’s; and Albyn’s excellent 3-0 win in Galashiels sees them host Gordonstoun, victors over Earlston. Trinity Academy v Wellington is the pick of the Plate quarter finals.

Junior Girls Cup

The semi-finals in the Junior Girls Cup sees Hutchesons’ hosting Dollar Academy; and Fettes College playing George Watson’s. All the quarter finals were great matches, with 3-1 wins for Hutchies v Glasgow Academy, and Dollar against holders Edinburgh Academy; Watson’s beat Mary Erskine’s on penalties; and Fettes eliminated High School of Dundee. In the Plate, High School of Glasgow v Mary Erskine’s should be a tight game, and Edinburgh play Glasgow in the battle of the ‘Academies’. St George’s are our first Plate semi-finalists.

Junior Girls Challenge Cup

The Junior Challenge Cup semi’s pit St Columba’s (pictured v Kelso) against Earlston, with both teams yet to concede a goal; and Kelvinside v Jordanhill in a Glasgow derby. In the Plate quarter finals, Morrison’s 1-0 win at Marr sees them play more Ayrshire opposition, Wellington; and Galashiels meet Kelso in a Borders derby. Kilgraston host Peebles, and St Margaret’s make the long journey to Selkirk.

All quarter-finals are due to be played this term, with semi-finals by 25 February.  Best of luck to all teams in their quest to reach the cup finals on 10 March (Junior) and 17 March (Senior).
